Jesse
Jesse

Himalaya's Rani Jessebelle

Black and tan Jesse was born on January 7th , 2000 and was bred by Susan Ochsenbein at Himalaya TMs. I first met Jesse when she was only 5 weeks old. She would sit prettily waiting for her turn for pets while the rest of the litter pounced all over me, chewing my shoe strings and hanging from my sleeves. When we finally brought Jesse home she seemed to be pleased with us as her new family and settled in immediately.

The intelligence and assertiveness of a TM can be intimidating to those who do not typically assert themselves and my unique relationship with Jesse has meant that I have learned so much from her - life’s lessons as well as things about myself. Jesse has a mind of her own and she is a good communicator. The quality of my life has improved because of my unique relationship with Jesse. She is a wonderful companion and her calm disposition and loving patience convinced me to continue on with the breed.

Because of a recent move of residence, Jesse now enjoys new scenery as she learns about farm animals and wild life that we did not have in the suburbs. Most days you can find her resting in the very center of her yard - yes, her yard - with a wide smile and her nose to the wind. Jesse is our matriarch and she uses her alpha bitch status to teach younger puppies when they are out of line and that she is in charge. The other pups all show her proper respect and get along great!

Breeding History

Jesse was bred to Himalaya’s Lokeshvara (call name: Norbu) in the fall of 2004. She had 8 lovely puppies on January 21st of 2005. The litter was all black and tan - 2 girls that remain here with me, and 6 healthy boys. Look out for one of Jesse’s sons! His name is “Chi” and he will be on the AKC show ring circuit! As a puppy he took BOB 3 out of 4 in Louisville, KY last year.

Rocky
Rocky

Kodiak at Sa Nashoba

Rocky is a large black Tibetan Mastiff that is a big sweet teddy bear of a dog. He came to live with me in November of 2005 when he was only 6-months old. He is quite playful and is very agile and athletic for a dog his size. His favorite pastime is running through the woods with his buddies Taurus and Berta and bouncing through the yard like Tigger just enjoying life. Rocky is a confident male that is always testing his boundaries but seems happy to live within them. I have taken a lot of pleasure watching him figure out the world around him.

Breeding History

Rocky is the sire to the “B” litter. He has stamped himself on some of his off-spring and I see a lot of Rocky shining through.

The Girls

Often referred to as “The Girls”, two of Jesse’s puppies are still with me. I didn’t plan to keep both females from the litter but, as we all know, life happens. They are both beautiful but they are complete opposites of each other.

Nadia
Nadia

Sa Nashoba's Ayamanatara

Nadia is much like her mother Jesse in personality. Even as a puppy she would sit quietly and observe, while the other puppies in the litter would be play and be silly. She has always been more mature than her age. She is much taller and longer than her mother with a lovely coat and a perfect tail. She hasn’t quite grown into her head yet and her droopy eyes give her a bit of a sad expression. She is one that will sit nicely, look me straight in the eye and make my heart swell. When she bats those eyelashes at me she knows I’ll give her anything she wants! I just can’t help it.

Jeanette
Jeanette

Sa Nashoba's Achel Ray

Jeanette is the puppy who really chose me as I had originally decided to keep her sister Nadia. Jeanette followed me around from day one as she acted cute and showed off for attention and food. She has a very obvious way of communicating with her humans and she has such a great personality. Jeanette is definitely one of those dogs that really gets into my heart. At one year old she is a lean 70 pounds. Her striking looks attract attention when I take her out. She even caught the eye of the Judge at the TMBI 2005 show and won a ribbon for Reserve Winner’s Bitch. I enjoy Jeanette and I am so proud of her. I look forward to taking her out to more shows in the future.
